Madeira North Coast Tour with Lunch & Wine Tasting

On the fourth day in Madeira we did a full day tour, titled “North Coast & Wine Tasting” by Adventure Land Madeira. We booked the tour at the company office in Funchal. This was a pricey tour.

The tour was approximately 8 hours, with pick up and drop off at our hotel. The vehicle was a Jeep and the tour was advertised as a “Jeep Safari”. While we enjoyed all of the stops on the tour, the lunch and the wine tasting experience and location, travelling in the Jeep left a bit to be desired, even with only 4 tour passengers and the driver. Here is what we would call an accurate description of the tour from the tour company website:

The lunch during the tour was excellent. The wine tasting experience and location was also very good, though Madeira is not known for traditional wines, but it is famous for “Madeira wine”.
